Located at 1327 Highland Turnpike, this cozy one-bedroom cabin offers a tranquil escape with breathtaking views to the east and west, sitting at an elevation of 3550 feet. Just 1.3 miles from a scenic fire tower and a mile from the picturesque town of Monterey, the cabin is an outdoor oasis perfect for nature lovers. Our property boasts a fire pit area, a walking trail through the serene forest, and easy access to the gravel road leading to the fire tower. Despite its secluded feel, the cabin is easily accessible via well-maintained roads. Guests can enjoy a full kitchen and living room combo, a bathroom with a stand-up shower, and a covered front porch. Relax in the hot tub under a lean-to while soaking in the mountain views and starlit sky. Perfectly situated for exploring nearby attractions, our cabin is a gateway to Snowshoe Resort, Cass, WV a charming railroad town, and is less than an hour from Staunton, VA. Richmond and Washington D.C. are also within a few hours’ drive. Whether you're seeking adventure or a peaceful retreat, our cabin offers a unique and memorable experience.

Meet your hosts, Orlesa Farms! We operate a charming hobby farm in the Shenandoah Valley, Augusta County, VA, an hour from the Top of Jack Mountain Cabin. Our journey began with Orlesa Farms in Staunton, VA, a beloved bed and breakfast and event venue. Though we miss it, we've created a new experience for our guests. Our Jack Mountain cabin offers a unique escape. At 2000 feet higher than our old inn, this retreat features the spirit of Orlesa Farms in a serene mountain setting. The landscapes of western Virginia and eastern West Virginia let you run wild and be amazed by the mountains. Though Monterey is in Virginia, it's on the fringe and surrounded by West Virginia's wild beauty. Our children have been integral to our journey, and their spirit is embedded in everything we do. "Orlesa" combines the first initials of our six children in reverse order of birth.
We invite you to explore this new chapter with us. The cabin, though different, carries the warmth and hospitality of Orlesa Farms.
