About Orlesa Farms

Nestled in the Shenandoah Valley, the Millstone Barn at Orlesa Farms represents the perfect balance of a historic farm with modern-day amenities, yet only minutes to downtown Staunton. Simply stated, the MillStone Barn at Orlesa Farms is rustic yet elegant. Sloping hillsides and a rolling spring-fed brook envelop the peacefulness of our charming nine guest rooms and suites. After passing through a historic railroad trestle entrance, a calming atmosphere will grip you unmatched in the Valley.

The Millstone Barn at Orlesa Farms, dubbed The Barn, promises relaxation and evokes the comfort of your home.

Two anchor buildings at Orlesa Farms – the Longhouse and Millstone Barn -- are stately furnished and adorned with charm and comfort.  The Longhouse is a unique combination of innkeeper's residence and venue available for private special events.  The west wing of the Longhouse holds an amazing Glass Conservatory -- able to accommodate the venue's entertaining 60 or less --, and a cozy living room designed to capture the amazing views that surround.  Although the Longhouse is for private parties only, Guests can enjoy the surrounding rolling hills and the skyline of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the landscaped outdoor patios flanking the Conservatory.  Longhouse private tours are available for those interested in holding their event here as well.

The Millstone Barn, a magnificently restored civil war-era barn, is the eight-guest room core of The Farm's accommodations and overlooks the 12 acres that make up The Farm’s pastoral grounds. A central vaulted-ceiling common area in the Millstone Barn supplies the perfect venue for friends and families to share a weekend away from the life's grind, immersion in a team-building excursion or simply chilling-out to read a great book. The Farm currently has a few animals with a few more arrivals this upcoming 2021 spring.  Over winter, only the peacocks transferred from another farm and their friends the chickens are here, along with the Innkeeper's family pets.  The peacocks and the chickens will be free-range again once spring arrives.

The Farm is just minutes from Staunton, VA, Harrisonburg, VA and Interstate 81. A short, five-minute drive takes you to Downtown Staunton, where Big Time Culture and Small Town Cool coexist. And there are enough wineries & breweries, golf courses and hiking trails and attractions to take you to the edge of bliss.

At the end of the day, it is at Orlesa Farms where the soul, heart and body rekindle.
